Reflections

We're excited to announce the Noble PTA Reflections art contest 2023-24.

The theme this year is: I am Hopeful Because . . . .

Submit your entry here by Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023.  This year we are only accepting online submissions.

Details about Noble's Reflections program

The due date for entries is Oct 25 and submission will be online this year. Entries will be accepted in three divisions: Primary (Pre-K to 2nd grade), Intermediate (3rd-5th grade) and Special Artist (for those students with learning differences). There are six categories: dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, visual arts.  We hope that our Noble students will take advantage of this opportunity to express themselves and their feelings through artwork.

If you have questions, please email Nobleptareflections@gmail.com for more information. Good Luck!

Helpful Suggestions from Past Year's Participants

1. Get started early so you have time to edit and be creative.

2. Students, don't be shy: what you do is good enough! You don't need to be a skilled artist or writer to create something wonderful. What's important is that you express your individual impressions of the theme. All contributions are valued.

2. Your students may enter as many different categories as they wish, and have as many entries in a specific category that they desire. Their artwork must be original, and must be designed around the theme for this year.

3. If you have siblings who are in the same age category that are entering the contest, please consider having them enter in different events: this will avoid one sibling in 1st place, while the other is in 2nd place, etc. (Unless you don't think this will be a problem with your students.)

4. Please note that the artist statement is part of what will be judged.

Reflection Entry Rules

Student entry rules

The Special Artist Division welcomes students from all grades and abilities and offers non-artistic accommodations (e.g. adaptive technology; transcribing; holding a camera) for students to participate fully in PTA Reflections. Assistants must refrain from being involved in the artistic process (e.g. developing an artist statement, choreography, music lyrics, storyboards, etc.) Student recognition and awards are announced as part of the Special Artist Division.

Only new pieces of artwork inspired by the current year’s theme may be submitted.
