PTA delivers essential programs

Our volunteer-led programs enrich our students' education beyond what public school funds can do. Visit our Get Involved page to see ways you can help!

Spring Carnival

April 28, 2023 edition: See here for details.

Our Spring Carnival is typically held in April or May, and is a fun community event for our school and neighborhood.  There are games, prizes, and activities suitable for all elementary age kids, and everyone is welcome.  This is a large event, and we can always use help making the magic happen.  Please see the Information or Get Involved page for how to help us, either with donations or time.

Assemblies

PTA works with the school to bring many assemblies to our students.  Assemblies provide an opportunity for all students to learn and be exposed to new things in an interesting and fun way. PTA typically spends ~$6,000 a year in school assemblies. Our goal is for students to attend one assembly per month.

Yearbook

Please see the 'Shop' page for more information on purchasing a Yearbook, or the 'Get Involved' page for how to volunteer to help with it.

The PTA has provided the programs listed below in prior years.  Each year we decide whether to include them in our plan for the year, depending on Volunteer interest and school support.  We usually decide at our first Association Meeting whether to try to include the programs listed below.

Spelling Bee

At Noble, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders  compete in a Spelling Bee.  Preliminary rounds are held during class time, and the final Spelling Bee takes place during an assembly.

Garden

Garden Volunteers Needed!

PTA Noble Garden Club is open to all.

Our wonderful teachers and students would like to start planting seeds and seedlings. We would also like to open up the garden to the kids at lunch time once a week. Please let us know if you can help out. Email us at sjnoblepta@gmail.com.

Terracycle

TerraCycle's purpose is to eliminate the idea of waste. They do this by creating national recycling systems for previously non-recyclable or hard-to-recycle waste. Anyone can sign up for these programs, called the Brigades, and start sending them waste.

TerraCycle then upcycles the collected waste into a wide variety of products and materials. With more than 20 million people collecting waste in 14 countries TerraCycle has diverted billions of units of waste and used them to create over 1,500 different products available at major retailers ranging from WalMart to Whole Foods Market and online at http://www.dwellsmart.com

Noble PTA has been an active partner of TerraCycle and has multiple brigades for “TerraCycling.” We have made about $2,000 from our TerraCycle” Cash for Trash Campaign” and recycled over 78,000 pieces of trash. How cool is that?

We collect recyclables all year long in the office or in the designated bins located throughout the school. This program not only benefits the school by providing funds, but also teaches our children the value of preserving our planets natural resources. It’s cool to be green!!! Click on our TerraCycle Chart to see all the “out of the box” items that we recycle.

We were even featured in the Berryessa Sun news.

We are always looking for environmentalists to help sort items and get them ready to ship out. Even scouts can participate for badges.

Let’s work together and continue to keep our school “green.”

Project Cornerstone

PTA partners with the YMCA to bring the Project Cornerstone program to Noble.

Reflections

The arts—and the National PTA® Reflections program—support student success and serve as a valuable tool for engaging families and building strong partnerships in the school community. Founded in 1969, Reflections engages over 300,000 students and their families in arts education activities each year by encouraging students to explore the arts for fun and recognition.

For more information about 2021's program, please click here.

Community Activities

In 2020-21, we collected hearts for Valentine's Day.  We also did a Scavenger Hunt.

For 2021-22, we collected hearts again, plus Halloween and Day of the Dead decorations to decorate the Noble Ave. fence.

Merry Makers Night

Merry Makers Night is a fun event where students can come create crafts with a wide variety of supplies.  They make ornaments, cards, and other imaginative creations. The crafting is free, and PTA usually sells concessions to help offset the cost.

Talent Show

Our students look forward to the Talent Show every year, where they can showcase their special skills.  We have held in-person and virtual Talent Shows, depending on Volunteer interest and school support.

Parent Teacher Conference Week

We like to show our appreciation to all the Noble Teachers by having a Potluck during the Parent-Teacher Conferences. Lots of teachers will be working late so we think it's a great way to show them how much we value their time and energy. Please consider signing up to bring something yummy.

Examples of things to bring: fruit salad, veggie platter, hummus, enchiladas, pasta, pizza, spring rolls, fried rice, chow mein, desserts, water, juice, etc. All food and drinks must be store bought.  Please bring your dish or drinks to the office. Thank you!

Science Night

Field Day

Noble PTA sometimes partners with the school to help support their annual spring Field Day event.

Fall Festival

Our Fall Festival is typically held in late October or early November, and is a fun community event for our school and neighborhood.  There are games, prizes, and activities suitable for all elementary age kids, and everyone is welcome.  This is a large event, and we can always use help making the magic happen.  Please see the Get Involved page for how to help us, either with donations or time.  More information on this year's Fall Festival is available on our Fall Festival page.
